Empower Young Minds: Support Bilingual Education in Honduras
Join Us in Creating Opportunities for 600 Students to Learn, Grow, and Succeed!
In 2017, I had the opportunity to join Bilingual Education for Central America (BECA) as a Camp Counselor, where I worked alongside local educators and communities in Honduras. What began as a summer experience quickly became a deep, ongoing commitment. I returned the following year to teach first grade at San Jeronimo Bilingual School, one of two schools BECA supports.
Throughout my time there, I witnessed the incredible dedication of the students, their families, and the community. These students are bright, resilient, and passionate about learning, and bilingual education provides them with the tools to navigate and thrive in a changing world. I’ve seen firsthand the impact that quality education can have—not just in the classroom but in how it strengthens communities and creates opportunities.
Over the years, I’ve supported BECA in many ways because I believe in its mission and work. BECA serves around 600 students across two schools, providing an education that honors the local culture while equipping students with the skills to succeed.
That’s why I’m hosting a virtual fundraiser—to help ensure these students continue to have access to the resources and opportunities they deserve. Your support can help make this possible by providing much-needed resources for their classrooms and schools.
Please consider donating today—every contribution helps make a lasting impact.
